Spring Walks in the Bovey Tracey (Dartmoor’s Gateway)
Mill Marsh Park and the River Bovey
With the great weather we have been having lately, its time to get out and blow the winter cobwebs away.
We decided to venture down to Bovey Tracey in Devon. This is the last main town before you head onto Dartmoor national park and as such, it tends to be overlooked as many head out for the tors and open country of the moor. However as you can see from these photos there is plenty to look out for here.
A great place to take your camera, there was plenty of wildlife of all description and paths that at one point wind along the river which alternated between a fast flowing rock strewn torrent to a wide placid pool. Then before you realise you have strayed away from the river and are surrounded by bluebells and other spring flowers in the midst of a woodland glade.
I hope you have enjoyed this post and if you would like to visit the park in this post here is link to the car park and area.
